How does local solar matching work on VoltVillage?

Households with surplus rooftop solar list the kilowatt-hours they do not need. VoltVillage matches those kilowatt-hours to nearby households at an agreed local price and settles the money between both wallets. The electricity itself keeps flowing over the existing public grid, measured by smart-meter data.

What does VoltVillage cost?

Joining is free. VoltVillage charges a platform fee on each match: 1.5% on the free Neighbour plan, 1.0% on Plus and 0.5% on Pro.

How do solar households get paid?

Earnings land in your VoltVillage wallet as soon as a match settles. You can withdraw the balance to your bank account from the withdrawal panel at any time.
